Our Staff

OUR BUSINESS MANAGER
Helen Kennedy has been with Deckerville Veterinary Clinic since 1998, and is the practice manager. Helen enjoys working with the clients on the clinics drop ship program. She also handles accounts payable and payroll, and all other financial responsibilities of the business. She and her husband John have two children, Kathryn a college student pursuing a degree as a Veterinarian technician and Eric a full time employee for a local dairy farm. She also has a grand-daughter Kaylynn Russell. They reside in the Deckerville area. Helen enjoys camping, reading and gardening. She’s always up for a new challenge.

MEET OUR LARGE ANIMAL TEAM
Carrie Arndt has been with the clinic since 2007. She presently handles account receivables, assist the doctors with routing of large animal calls, and our web site. She and her husband Dave reside in the Deckerville area. They have three grown daughters, two son-in-laws, two gorgeous granddaughters, and a third grandchild on the way. Carrie loves to remodel, camp, and take care of her flower beds.

Patty Hornby joined the staff at the start of 2008. Patty is our inventory manager, ordering, receiving and stocking the meds needed by our doctors and clients on a daily basis. Patty also assist with the routing of the doctors to large animal calls. She and her husband Bob reside in the Deckerville area. They have two children, Megan who lives in New York, and Sean who is attending college in Minnesota. Patty enjoys racing her whippets, reading, walking and traveling.

Kathryn Kennedy, also known as Kate, has been with us since 2004. She has helped us throughout her high school and college years. She is a valuable assest to the clinic, able to help with all facets of the business. She is a student at Baker College studing to be a veterinary technician. Kate has a daughter, Kaylynn. In her spare time she enjoys scrap booking, her pets, and spending time with family and friends.

MEET THE SMALL ANIMAL TEAM
Karen Rich joined the staff at the Sandusky Animal Clinic upon its opening in 1998. She manages the Sandusky Clinic operations. Karen and her husband Randy have one son Joel who resides in Oakland Michigan. They live in the Sandusky area. Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, working in her yard, and spending time with family and friends.

Lisa Beatty, LVT joined the clinic in the fall of 2007. Lisa is a 2000 graduate of Macomb county Community College. She came to us with 10 years prior history at two different mixed practice clinics. She and her husband Chris reside in the Snover area with their two children, Marshall and Sydney, and a wide variety of animals. In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Tricia Krueger has been with the clinic since 2001. She works at the Sandusky clinic assisting with duties such as front desk receptionist, doctor assistant, and patient care. Tricia and her husband Dave reside in the Snover area with their daughter Erin. Tricia is a cat lover, and enjoys reading.

Sheena Simpson, LVT has been with the Sandusky Animal Clinic since 2003. Sheena is a 2008 grad of Macomb Community College, and a recently Licensed as a Veterinary Techinician. She works out of both the Sandusky and Deckerville offices assisting the doctor with the small animal patients. She resides in the Snover area, and enjoys her multitude of animals and being with her family and her fiance Casey Dickinson. She is busy planning her fall wedding.
